Liu Xiang gets China's first world indoor track silver

Top Chinese sprinter Liu Xiang has set the Asian indoor record twice in the men's 60 meter hurdles at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Top Chinese sprinter Liu Xiang has set the Asian indoor record twice in the men's 60 meter hurdles at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The 20-year-old also clinched the first ever indoor silver medal for a male Chinese athlete in the history of the Indoor World Championships.

With runs of 7.46 and the 7.43 seconds in the semifinal and final, Liu Xiang broke the Asian record he himself set last year.

The defending champion Allen Johnson's 7.36 seconds run assured him the gold and a new meeting record.
