The Philippine anti-graft court Sandiganbayan summoned Tuesday former First Lady Imelda Marcos to attend a hearing of the graft cases filed against her in connection with the five dummy firms her family had put up.

The Sandiganbayan directed the 74-year old wife of the late President Ferdinand Marcos to personally appear for the hearing onJune 21-22. The court suspended its hearing last month following amotion to defer the proceedings.

Government prosecutors alleged that Mrs. Marcos could still be held accountable for establishing private foundations in Switzerland while she was minister of human settlements during herhusband's 20-year rule.

Marcos fled the country after a military-backed popular uprising in 1986, and died in exile in Hawaii, the United States, three years later.

His wife is facing many counts of corruption charges in connection with the Marcos family's Swiss deposits amounting to 683 million US dollars, ruled by the Philippine Supreme Court as ill-gotten.

The Supreme Court ruled in July 2003 that the money, originallypegged at 356 million dollars in Swiss deposits, was government-owned following the Marcoses' failure to justify where the amount came from, as the declared legitimate total earnings of Marcos andhis wife were way below the amount.
