Fatah leader says ready to resume negotiations with Israel

The Palestinian leadership is ready to hold negotiations with the Israeli government, Hani Al-Hassan, amember of the Fatah movement's central committee, said on Saturday.

The Palestinian leadership is ready to hold negotiations with the Israeli government, Hani Al-Hassan, amember of the Fatah movement's central committee, said on Saturday.

"Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon, who believes only in military choices, should not believe that Palestinians would make concessions because of the pressures exerted on them," Al-Hassan told the reporters.

He asserted that the Palestinians could confront with Israel, and "Sharon is about to kneel down because he and his military officers have failed in breaking down Palestinians' will and lost the battle with Palestinian people."

"The dream of establishing a Palestinian state is becoming real and it wouldn't exceed the year 2007," he said, adding "the Palestinian sacrifices have made Sharon and US President George W. Bush understand that breaking our will is impossible."
