Chinese women basketballers to participate in WNBA draft

The Chinese Basketball Association has denied rumours that three Chinese women basketballers cannot participate in this year's WNBA draft.

The Chinese Basketball Association has denied rumours that three Chinese women basketballers cannot participate in this year's WNBA draft.

The authority says Miao Lijie, Chen Luyun and Ye Li will join the Draft in China by sending the required documents to the WNBA, without having going directly to America themselves.

This is because they will be involved in Olympic preparations for the national basketball team.

The Rockets Chinese star, Yao Ming ,used the same method to enter the NBA.
