Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju said in Beijing on April 2 that China cherishes the traditional friendship with Lesotho and is willing to deepen cooperation between the two sidesin various areas.

Huang said during his meeting with Archibald Lesao Lehohla, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education of Lesotho, that the bilateral ties maintain good momentum after China and Lesotho re-established diplomatic relations, and the two sides have witnessed more frequent high-level mutual visits and enjoy friendly cooperation covering broad fields ever since.

China is pleased with the substantial achievements of the Lesotho government in maintaining social stability, promoting national pacification and improving the people's living standard, and appreciates the Lesotho government's adherence to the "one China" policy.

Lehohla spoke highly of China's achievements in its efforts to build a relatively affluent society in an all-out way, and the positive role China plays in international and regional affairs.

The Lesotho government would firmly stick to the "one China" policy, he said, hoping his visit would further consolidate the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
