CPPCC chairman meets Vietnamese guests

Further strengthening and reinforcement of Sino-Vietnamese friendship, unity and cooperationis of strategic significance for both countries and in the basic interests of their people, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said Friday.

Further strengthening and reinforcement of Sino-Vietnamese friendship, unity and cooperationis of strategic significance for both countries and in the basic interests of their people, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said Friday.

Jia made the remark during his meeting with a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by its Secretary General Huynh Dam.

Noting that bilateral ties have maintained a good momentum and entered a new stage of in-depth growth, Jia said the CPPCC will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Vietnam Fatherland Front so as to promote the long-term, stable development of bilateral relations.

Huynh Dam spoke highly about the results of cooperation betweenthe Vietnam Fatherland Front and the CPPCC. He expressed the willingness to further expand exchanges and cooperation between the two sides at all levels and through various channels. As both organizations occupy a significant role in their own countries, hesaid. the Vietnam Fatherland Front and CPPCC should join efforts to make due contributions to the development of their respective countries as well as the growth of bilateral friendly and cooperative relations between the parties, governments and people of the two countries.
