Beijing's Capital Airport to build 'capital aviation city'

Beijing's Capital Airport will invest 100 billion yuan, or 12 billion US dollars, to build a "capital aviation city" in Shunyi Distict in Beijing, where the airport is situated.

Beijing's Capital Airport will invest 100 billion yuan, or 12 billion US dollars, to build a "capital aviation city" in Shunyi Distict in Beijing, where the airport is situated.

The fund will be more than five times the cost of the Capital Airport.

Dedicated to aviation-related industries and services, the city will cover an area of 100 to 150 square kilometers.

It will also be home to the new International Exhibition Centre of Beijing.

Capital Airport has already started to raise money for the project.
