font size

Six people were confirmed dead and eight others injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday in Longsheng County, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local government sources said on Apr 11.

A passenger bus, carrying 14 people, was heading for Huaihua city, central China's Hunan Province, from Guilin city of Guangxi, when it ran off the road and plunged into the Xunjiang River. Six people were killed and eight others were injured.

By press time, bodies of all six killed passengers had been recovered. Eight injured passengers have been sent to hospitals in Longsheng and Sanjiang counties.

Initial investigations show that improper driving had led to the accident.
