Russians, CIS citizens in Iraq to be evacuated

About 550 Russian nationals and 260 citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) working in Iraq will be evacuated on Thursday and Friday, the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced on Wednesday.

Russia made the decision following Tuesday's release of three Russians and five Ukrainians working for a Russian energy company,who were taken hostage by Iraqi insurgents on Monday.
