Israel most affected from war in Iraq: Ranteesi
font size

Abdel-Aziz Ranteesi, leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, said on Wednesday that Israel was the most affected from the war on Iraq.

Ranteesi told reporters that "the Jews are the first to be harmed from the current situation in Iraq because they were behind trapping the US in Iraq."

He warned Israel from the repercussions of trapping the United States in Iraq, saying that when the US administration would realize what Israel has done, it would also realize that embracing the Zionist entity is like embracing a snake.

The United States have gone deep within Iraq that they can no longer leave, Ranteesi said, adding that leaving without achieving any political goals would underestimate and undermine its stature as an international power.

Ranteesi added that ending the War on Iraq would also undermine the US so-called "War on Terrorism," calling on Muslims to take advantage of the US failure in Iraq in order to end the war in the war-torn country.
