Cambodian PM starts visit to China

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen left here Monday for Shanghai, kicking off a week-long official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao.

The premier led a high delegation, including Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Minister of Council of Ministers Sok An and Co-Minister of Defense Tea Banh, as well as the ministers from industry, agriculture and water resources.

Moreover, an 11-member business delegation was also among Hun Sen's entourage, aiming to promote trade and economic cooperation with China.

Hun Sen and the delegation will also visit Shanghai, Chongqing,and meet top Chinese leaders, according to Cambodia's Foreign Ministry.

Besides, Hun Sen will participate in the Boao Forum for Asia scheduled for April 24-25 in Boao, south China's Hainan province.

Hun Sen's last visit to China was in February 1999.
