An intellectual property rights park was inaugurated on April 19 in Shanghai, China's leading industrial and commercial center.

The park will render a variety of services in transferring property rights for overseas and domestic research institutes, universities and enterprises. The business scope covers collecting, processing and transferring patent information, and evaluating the performance of intellectual property rights.

Listed companies, enterprise groups, overseas consortiums, multinationals, and research institutes are welcome to set up in the park with preferential terms such as reduced rent, according to the local government.
