The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a reception Tuesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Gabon.

Chen Haosu, president of the (CPAFFC), said that both developing countries, China and Gabon have supported each other and cooperated well in international affairs since the establishment of diplomatic ties three decades ago.

Chen said the frequent high-level visits between the two countries have promoted the bilateral friendly relations of cooperation.

China appreciates Gabon's adherence to the one-China policy, and its precious support for China at the meetings of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Chen said. He said he hoped that people-to-people exchanges between the two sides would increase in the future, so as to promote the development of the two peoples' friendship.

Gabonese Ambassador to China Joseph Obiang-Ndoutoume said Gabonhighly treasures its traditional friendship with China. The Gabonese Government will unswervingly support China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, he said.
