Gabon expects to boost bilateral cooperation in all fields with China, a senior Gabonese official said here Tuesday.
Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Francophone Jean Ping made the remarks in an interview with Xinhua on the 30th anniversary of his country's diplomatic relationship with China.
Ping said Gabon is satisfied with the good relations with Chinain various fields and a close partnership has been established between the two nations.
The two countries share the same views on various issues at the United Nations and other international organizations and on wide-ranging international and regional issues.
The China-Africa cooperation forum has provided a good platform for developing China-Africa cooperation, he said.
He considered Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Gabon in February one of the most significant events in bilateral relations,saying Hu's speech at the Gabonese Congress showed China's strong will to boost friendly relations with Gabon and other African countries.
Gabonese President El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba's upcoming visit to China this year together with Hu's visit to Gabon in February show bilateral relationship is good and full of vitality, the foreign minister said.
