Shanghai Airlines launches new flight to Osaka

Shanghai Airlines launched a newair service Wednesday to Osaka, Japan, offering a daily flights toand from Osaka with Boeing 757 passenger planes.

The new flight is expected to greatly increase exchanges between the two coastal cities, which forged friendly relations in1974.

Shanghai Airlines has become one of China's major operators of overseas air flights after opening in recent years new routes to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, Phuket in Thailand, Phnom Penh in Cambodiaand Vladivostok in Russia, as well as Macao.
