Two trains with fuel onboard collided and caused explosions on Thursday in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) near its border with China, causing large casualties. Two overseas Chinese were killed
and 12 others were injured, said the Chinese Embassy to the DPRK.

June 6, 1981 -- Some 800 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the world's worst rail accident when a cyclone blew an overcrowded train off its tracks into the River Kosi in India's eastern state of Bihar.
June 4, 1989 -- Leaking gas caused a huge explosion in a crowded rail station in the former Soviet Union, engulfing two passenger trains and killing about 600 people.
Jan.3, 1990 -- More than 300 people were killed and 700 others injured when a passenger train crashed into a cargo train in southern Pakistan.
Sept. 6, 1994 -- Two trains collided in the Republic of Congo, killing more than 100 people.
Jan. 30, 1993 -- A train plunged into a river as the bridge collapsed in Kenya, resulting in more than 140 people died.
Sept. 22, 1994 -- A derailing train killed about 300 people andinjured nearly 150 in Angola.
Aug. 20, 1995 -- Some 300 people were killed and 344 others injured when two trains collided in India.
Feb. 14, 1998 -- The derailment of a cargo train caused the explosions of two wagons with fuel onboard in Cameroon, causing 220 people killed.
Nov. 26, 1998 -- More than 200 people died in the collision of two trains in India.
Aug. 2, 1999 -- Two trains collided head-on in India, killing 285 people.
Feb. 20, 2002 -- Some 361 people were killed and 450 injured inthe fire on a crowded passenger train in Egypt.
May 25, 2002 -- The derailment of a train killed 192 people andinjured 169 in Mozambique.
June 24, 2002 -- A derailing passenger train crashed into a cargo train in Tanzania, killing 288.
Feb 18, 2004 -- Nearly 300 people were killed and 450 others injured in the explosions caused by the derailment of a train withfuel onboard in Iran. Enditem
