Chinese companies solicits advice from US experts

Experts from China and the United States gathered in Beijing to give advice to large Chinese companies, at the 6th Sino-US Technology and Engineering Conference, sources with the State Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs (SBFEA) said here Tuesday.

The conference, starting from April 18, has attracted 62 US experts coming from well-known multinationals like GE, IBM, INTEL, and HP, as well as over 180 Chinese entrepreneurs and experts in various fields, to raise suggestions and work out developing strategies to Chinese companies. By the end of April 26, the US experts had visited 25 well-known Chinese companies in 13 cities including Haier, TCL, Lenovo, etc.

The conference, based on a wide-ranging investigation, set up seven expertise team and 131 research subjects, receiving 81 theses from Chinese and US experts, which covered computer and software, telecommunication, electronic facilities, machinery, chemical industry, pharmacy, and material science.

The conference was co-sponsored by the State Development and Reform Commission, SBFEA, the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, and the US-based Chinese Institute of Engineer.
