Vice-premier meets delegates to China-US seminar on engineering tech

Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan met Wednesday with experts attending the sixth seminar on engineering technology between China and the United States.

Zeng listened to their suggestions on industrial restructuring,industrial development planning, sharpening of enterprises' competitiveness and enhancement of human resources training and utilization.

He said the seminars on engineering technology, which had been held for six consecutive years, have become a bridge of exchanges and cooperation for domestic and overseas Chinese, and played a constructive role in promoting the combination of scientific research and industrial sectors and in updating technologies of enterprises.

The rapid development of the Chinese economy has provided good opportunities for the experts' career development, Zeng said, encouraging the overseas Chinese experts to strengthen cooperation with their Chinese counterparts and actively participate in China's economic construction.
