Sun Wen likely to report Athens Olympics
font size

Sun Wen, former captain of Chinese women's national soccer team, is likely to cover the Athens Olympic Games as a sportswriter, reports said in Shanghai on April 30.

Sun, who retired after the Steel Roses were knocked out of the World Cup quarterfinals last year, has been studying international relations in Shanghai's Fudan University.

She started her career as a journalist last week by writing for Shanghai's Xinmin Evening News in last week's Asian Zone Olympic women's soccer qualifying tournament in Japan.

"She is very likely to cover the Olympic Games this summer," local reports said.
