11th China Advertising Festival to open in October
font size

The 11th China Advertising Festival is to be held in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, from Oct. 28 through Oct. 30, the sponsor announced.

According to Wang Yingcai, deputy secretary-general of the China Advertising Association, it is the first time that the event will be staged in a western city in China.

The country has become potentially the largest advertising market as a strong Chinese economy encourages Chinese enterprises to spend more on advertising promotions.

During the festival, a series of activities will be held, including an advertising exhibition, a seminar on China's advertising industry, an ad-themed park for the public and outdoormovies featuring ad films, according to Sun.

China's advertising industry saw its annual revenue outnumber 100 billion yuan (12 billion US dollars) in 2003.
