Israeli airstrike kills 4 militants in Nablus

Israeli Apache helicopters assassinated on Sunday night four Palestinian militants, including the commander of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah movement in the West Bank town of Nablus, the city governor, witnesses and medics reported.

Mahmoud al-Aloul, the governor of Nablus told reporters that an israeli army attack Apache helicopter fired three missile at a local civilian car, which the four militants were in it.The four were killed, he said, adding that after the car was targeted by the missiles, it was hard to recognize the identities of the four militants because their bodies were torn into pieces.

Palestinian witnesses said that the car was targeted while driving in between the city of Nablus and Balatta refugee camp, adding that the helicopters fired missiles and killed the four militants inside. They said that the car was totally burned, where hundreds of residents rushed to rescue the four people, while ambulances and firefighters arrived at the car and took the four bodies.

They said that the four were identified as Ibrahim Abu Hamdan, the commander of al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the West Bank,Nadder Abu Leil, Nael Hassan, and Mohamed Abu Hamdan.

Their death was confirmed by medics in Nablus.
