font size

A new homepage to mark the 85 anniversary of the May 4 Student Movement, dubbed as the "On-line Memorial Hall of the May 4 Movement", is expected to be officially launched on May 4.

The homepage, http://54.china1840-1919.net.cn, is jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). It is jointly managed by the Information Office of the CCYL, the CASS Institute of Modern History and the CCYL's website.

The on-line memorial hall exhibits the patriotic student movement with articles, pictures and visual materials. It is part of the on-line educational base for patriotism, www.china1849-1919.net.cn.

The on-line educational base has opened a series of homepages on other historic incidents like the December 9 Student Movement, the Long March, and the Nanchang Uprising.
