Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Chinese Ministry of Health will send medical staffs to Pakistan to assist Pakistani side to treat the Chinese citizens injured in a bombing in Gwadar, Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced in Beijing Tuesday.

Three Chinese nationals were killed and nine others were wounded earlier Monday when an unoccupied car exploded near their bus in Gwadar, about 500 km west of Karachi. At present, cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

The medical staffs will be sent together with a working group of China Harbor Engineering Company to Pakistan, sources said.

Gwadar port's construction is assisted by China Harbor Engineering Company. After the accident, the company has set up a group to handle the related affairs. Liu Huaiyuan, president of the company, and other company staffs have left for Karachi Tuesday. They will convey comfort to the injured and deal with the related issues of the Chinese victims together with Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and consulate general in Karachi, sources said.

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali have sent letters of sympathy to Chinese President Hu Jintao and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to convey condolence to the injured and the families of the killed.
