Local discipline inspection officials told to perform duties
font size

A senior CPC official asked departments for discipline inspection at all levels of China to fully perform their duties and step up supervision.

The request was made by Wu Guanzheng, member of the Political Bureau of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, during a study tour to southwest China's landlocked Guizhou Province from May 2-6.

"It is necessary to step up inspection over implementation of the Party line, relevant policies, as well as the state laws and regulations, and to correct and deal with cases wherein laws are not followed or not abided by strictly," said Wu.

Wu also told officials for discipline inspection across the country to take the lead in studying the Constitution and other laws of China, and to keep improving the capabilities of carrying out discipline inspections according to law.
