HK police seize 5 kilograms of suspected cocaineHong Kong police arrested Thursday a 51-year-old man and seized a total of five kilograms of suspected cocaine. According to a government press release, following extensive investigations, the Narcotics Bureau officers intercepted the man outside of a hotel. A small quantity of suspected cocaine was found in his possession. A search in the hotel room found three kilograms of suspected cocaine and some packaging paraphernalia. The man was then brought to a flat in Yau Ma Tei, where two more kilograms of suspected cocaine and some packaging paraphernalia were seized. The haul which is believed to be for local consumption could fetch about 5.2 million HK dollars (666,666 US dollars) if sold in the local black market. The man was arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs and is still being detained for inquiries. Source: Xinhua
