Hu sends condolence letter to Putin

Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a letter of condolence to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, expressing his condolences over the death of Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov and other people in the bomb attack at a stadium in Grozny, capital of the Chechen Republic.

In the letter, President Hu also offered his sincere sympathy for the relatives of those dead, and the injured persons.

President Hu reaffirmed that the Chinese government opposes any form of terrorism and firmly supports the Russian government's stand to fight against terrorism and maintain stability in the country.

He said the Chinese government is willing, together with the international community including Russia, to combat against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
