font size

China is willing to promote its friendly cooperative relation with Tanzania to a higher level, Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan said in Beijing Tuesday at his meeting with Shamsi Nahodha, chief minister of the Zanzibar government of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Tang spoke highly on the traditional friendship between China and Tanzania and expressed his appreciation for Tanzanian government's persistent support for China on Taiwan issue and the issue of human rights.

Nahodha expressed his gratitude for China's generous assistance to Tanzania for years, and his admiration for China's great achievements in the reform and economic construction, and his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between China and African countries.

Tanzania will adhere to the one-China policy and oppose any activities that intend to split Taiwan from China, Nahodha said.
