China to strengthen economic cooperation with Slovakia
font size

China hopes to strengthen economic cooperation with Slovakia so as to promote mutually-beneficial cooperation, said Yu Guangzhou, Chinese deputy minister of commerce, in Beijing Tuesday.

Yu made the remarks at the opening ceremony of a symposium on Sino-Slovakian trade and investment.

He said the two countries have enjoyed sound economic cooperation and he believes its future is very bright.

As Slovakia became a member of the European Union, the cooperation of the two countries faces a new situation and China hopes Slovakian enterprises enter the Chinese market, said Yu.

After the opening ceremony, the two countries signed agreements on cooperation on inspection and quarantine of industrial products and on investment promotion.
