Chinese ports boast world's top containers' handling
In 2003 harbors in China grew much faster than the world average in terms of containers' handling capacity. With a handling capacity approximating 50 million containers, the increase was 32 percent over 2002.
This means the containers handled in Chinese ports exceeded those in US and led the world.
This news was released by China International Port & Shipping Expo held in Shanghai New International Expo Center from May 11 to 14.
