Macao resumes import of US frozen chicken
font size

The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government decided Wednesday to resume, from now on, the import of frozen chicken from the United States, since the bird flu in the country has been taken under control.

According to an official from the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) of the Macao SAR, all the US frozen chicken to be exported to Macao should be produced after April 30.

The IACM has informed the poultrymen, supermarkets and other concerned departments of its decision, said the official.

The IACM announced the suspension of frozen chicken import fromthe United States in mid February when epidemic situations of the bird flu were found at two separate places in the Delaware State.
