Violent film "Brother" banned on Chinese mainland
font size

The Hong Kong film "Brother" has been banned on the Chinese mainland for its bloody violence and negative plot. At the same time, all audio and video products or copies of the film are illegal.

The film "Brother" is about the fights, thrills and brotherhood among gangsters.

It is banned by the Chinese authorities because of its theme of injustice and too much deviation from the original play.

Moreover, Guangdong and Fujian Provinces in southern China are required to take firm action to fight the smuggling of pirated VCDs and DVDs of the movie.
