Indian PM to resign after election defeat

Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has accepted defeat in a national election and will resign later on Thursday, Defense Minister George Fernandes said.

Indian PM to resign this evening
Accepting defeat in the elections,Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee will resign this evening,the Press Trust of India quoted the ruling National Democratic Alliance convenor George Fernandes as saying Thursday.
