font size

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi Thursday encouraged US industrial giant Emerson to further expand cooperation with China.

In a meeting with Emerson Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Farr in Beijing, Wu expressed the hope that Emerson will make greater efforts to introduce advanced technology, management expertise and specialized talents to China.

Farr expressed Emerson's willingness to further expand investment and business in China.

Wu appreciated Emerson's commitment to expanding cooperation with China. She said stable development of Sino-US trade and economic cooperation is in the interests of both China and the United States, especially in the interests of US companies that have invested in China.

Wu said rapid economic growth of China has created big business opportunities for US companies, adding that China has become the fastest growth area in Emerson's global operation.

She said China and the United States enjoy great prospects for trade and economic cooperation.

As one of the largest industrial companies in the world, Emerson has already set up 31 enterprises in China.
