font size

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) confirmed on Friday that Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will visit Pyongyang next week.

Koizumi will pay a visit to Pyongyang next week and meet with DPRK leader Kim Jong Il, a spokesman for DPRK's Foreign Ministry told Xinhua.

But the spokesman declined to disclose the exact date or the agenda of the visit.

Koizumi made his first trip to Pyongyang in September 2002.
