Invest HK to give advice to logistics companies at key trade event

Invest Hong Kong will give investment advice to logistics companies interested in building their presence in Hong Kong at the three-day "Logistics Hong Kong Conference and Exhibition" (Logistics Hong Kong).

Logistics Hong Kong, taking place on May 18-20 at the Hong KongConvention and Exhibition Center, will feature opportunities for companies or individual investors to leverage the Chinese mainland/Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA).

Invest Hong Kong's transportation and logistics team will participate in the exhibition to meet with companies in related industries, including freight transportation services, shipping, cargo owners, logistics services providers and manufacturers.

At the Invest Hong Kong booth, the professional team will explain to overseas and Chinese mainland visitors the competitive edge of Hong Kong as the international logistics hub in Asia, as well as the advantages of setting up business in Hong Kong.

"We are very excited about this upcoming opportunity to meet with representatives of overseas companies in one of the key tradeevents in Hong Kong. Through our participation at the expo, we will highlight the benefits of CEPA for overseas companies interested in gaining or expanding market share in the Chinese mainland through setting up a base in Hong Kong." said Benjamin Wong, head of transportation and logistics of Invest Hong Kong.

"We also look forward to introducing to Chinese mainland logistics companies the advantages of using Hong Kong as a window to expand overseas. With the entry into WTO, the industry competition in the Mainland has intensified," he said.

Invest Hong Kong's booth at Logistics Hong Kong will be locatedat A7 in the venue. Visitors are encouraged to talk to the team ofconsultants to explore business opportunities in the region.
