The 6th Chongqing Hi-tech Fair to be held in November

The Sixth China Chongqing Hi-tech Fair, which will also serve as the second expo for military technologies for civil use, is scheduled to be held in Chongqing municipality from Nov.13 to 16 this year, as learned from a press conference in Beijing.

The fair will be jointly hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology, Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Association of Inventions, and municipal government of Chongqing. Under the theme of promoting the development of hi-tech and China's west region, the fair will serve for the strategic goal of building the biggest tech trading center for China's west. With hallmarks of "west" and "military technologies for civil use", the event will arrange an array of activities to showcase hi-tech research results and facilitate hi-tech transfers and discussions including forums.

Compared with the fairs held before, this fair will introduce transfers of techs with property rights to promote the merger between technologies and capital for the first time. Another innovation is to dedicate a specialized exhibition zone for military technologies for civil use, technologies for communication and information, cars driven by clean energy and new materials which professionals will be invited to visit.
