font size

Vice-President Zeng Qinghong has called for implementing a scientific concept of development in grass-roots work and central policies on resolving the issues of agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

Zeng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, made the remark during a study tour in Gansu Province, northwest China, and Hubei Province, central China, between May 12-18.

During his stay in the two provinces, Zeng visited local villages and factories to see how local governments and Party organizations have implemented the central policies including efforts to reduce farmers' financial burdens.

He also visited some state-owned factories and private companies during his trip.
