Vietnam supports one-China policy
font size

"Vietnam's consistent stance is to support the one-China policy," a Vietnamese spokesman confirmed.

Vietnam thoroughly understands the Chinese people's aspiration for national unification and fully supports China's policy on the Taiwanese issue, local media on Thursday quoted Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung as answering the country's reaction to China's May 17 statement on current cross-Straits ties.

"We wish the Chinese people soon realize their desire of national unity," he stressed.
