India seeks most friendly relations with Pakistan: Manmohan
font size

Indian prime minister-designate Manmohan Singh Thursday said that India seeks most friendly relations with Pakistan.

The Press Trust of India quoted Singh as saying "we must find ways and means to solve all the problems between India and Pakistan peacefully."

"Who had thought that the Berlin Wall would melt. If those impossible things can happen, why not it be in our case," he said.

He added that without sacrificing the national security it would be the endeavor of the new government to be more forward in building relations with Pakistan.
