Chinese vice premier meets US, Kyrgyz guests

Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju held separate meetings with Foreign Minister Askar Aytmatov of the Kyrgyz Republic and US-based Motorola Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Edward J. Zander in Beijing Thursday afternoon.

During the meeting with Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Aytmatov,Huang said that China and Kyrgyzstan, as friendly neighbors, have kept frequent high-level contact, continuously deepened mutual political trust, expanded bilateral trade and pushed forward cooperative projects.

In order to advance bilateral trade and economic cooperation, China is ready to join hands with Kyrgyzstan to improve investmentenvironment, complement each other's advantages, explore new cooperative forms, introduce innovative ideas to bilateral trade and achieve greater results of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, Huang said.

Aytmatov said the just concluded session of Kyrgyzstan-China Mixed Committee on Trade and Economy was a big success and fruitful. He said the two sides settled the direction and guidelines of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in the future at the meeting.

He said Kyrgyzstan is ready to join efforts with China to elevate bilateral relations to a model of good-neighborly, cooperative relations of cooperation.

In the meeting with Motorola Chairman and CEO Zander, Huang said China will continue to introduce foreign funds and improve the structure of foreign investment in the process of globalization.

Huang said China welcomes such big international companies as Motorola to invest and conduct various forms of business in the country so as to promote the development of information industry and other sectors.
