China appreciates Bangladesh's adherence to one-China policy

China on Thursday expressed appreciation over Bangladesh's adherence to the one-China policy.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said at a regular press conference that Bangladesh on Wednesday officially notified China that it had closed the so-called "Taipei representative office" in Dacca, its capital.

"We greatly appreciates Bangladesh's sticking to the one-China policy," Liu said.
