Yao Ming back home

After competing in the NBA, Yao Ming has returned home to China, arriving in Beijing last night.

This is the first time he has come home without a media frenzy.

To avoid the spotlight, he stayed in a common hotel. He plans to stay a few days in Beijing before going back to his hometown of Shanghai.

It's reported that despite three weeks of holidays in Los Angeles, he has remained in tip top form.

He will go to see China's Basketball team compete against the Australian team but will only be a spectator and will not play.
