An auto museum and a movie museum will be built in this Chinese capital city within the next decade, The Beijing News reported.

Liu Chaoying of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage was cited as saying that Beijing will invest 7 billion yuan (about 846 million US dollars) in the construction or reconstruction of six museums over the next five to 10 years.

This includes two new museums, namely, an auto museum and a movie museum.

The money will be also used for the reconstruction of four other existing museums, the Beijing Museum, the China Agricultural Museum, the Beijing Planetarium, and the China Geological Museum.

According to the report, every Chinese medium-sized city will have a fully-equipped museum by 2015.
