font size

Palestinian died on Saturday of wounds he sustained in Israeli military raids in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah last week, Palestinian sources said.

The death of Ahmad Abu Syam brought the death toll of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli raid in Rafah, codenamed "Operation Rainbow", to 55 so far.

Meanwhile, Israeli military sources asserted that the military operation in the town and its refugee camps will continue, adding that the coming few days will witness retaliation attacks that will target specific targets.

In another development, another Palestinian died on Saturday of wounds in Al-Zaitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Sources said that Hussein Al-Lada, 18, died at midnight after being seriously wounded by the Israeli army last week.
