Guo Jingjing sailed to her second victory at Shanghai Champions Diving Tour, an international invitational Saturday in Shanghai as she held her lead throughout to win the women's 3m springboard.

The 3m synchronized world champion collected 404.91 points to the title following her triumph in the synchronized event with younger teammate Wu Minxia, who settled for third in 365.70 in an obvious low form.

Veteran Li Rongjuan from Guangdong province leapfrogged the 19-year-old Wu in the fifth and last round to take the silver in 367.71.

Guo, 22, brought up a steady performance but was yet to find her best shape as the Chinese No. 1 springboard diver said she had been strained by the three FINA Grand Prix events in the southern city of Zhuhai, Canada and the United States respectively in the past six weeks.

"I don't ask her to be flawless in every event," said Guo's coach Zhong Shaozhen. "But at the Athens Olympic Games, she should strive for perfection."

China has qualified for all eight diving events at the Aug. 13-29 Summer Games and the Chinese national team is expected to announce the final Olympic lineup next month.

In the afternoon, the home divers prevailed at the men's platform synchronized as Olympic silver medalist Hu Jia and long time partner Luo Yutong won in 363.06.

Chang Jing and Wang Liang from Shanxi province were second in 357.24 while Tang Shaoyun and Huo Liang, a 15-year-old City Games champion, came third on 356.88.

World champions Robert Newbery and Mathew Helm, of Australia, missed the podium to finish fourth.

"I don't think the jet lag bothers us any more. We just lost concentration at some point," said Newbery, who will compete in all four men's events in Athens.
