font size

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing talked over the telephone Monday afternoon with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov on a United Nations Security Council resolution on the Iraqi issue, which is under preparation.

Li stressed that the resolution should be conducive to an early realization of "Iraqi people governing Iraq", and should give full play to the role of the United Nations in Iraq.

The two sides also agreed to enhance consultation and cooperation on the Iraqi issue.
