IOC inspectors visit BeijingAn inspection team from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Monday began a four-day visit to Beijing to examine the city's progress in preparing for the 2008 Olympic Games. The 19-member team, headed by Hein Verbruggen, chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2008 Games, is scheduled to hold discussions with Beijing Olympic organizers on a variety of issues, including press operation, security, venue construction, transportation and marketing.
