Expo investment talk attracts over 500 companies

Over 500 companies from home and abroad attended the investment talk of the 7th China Beijng International High-Tech Expo May 22, where more than 80 letters of intent on investment valued at 8.5 billion yuan (US$1.03 billion) were signed within just one day.

Participants included multinational investment branches such as Siemens, Alstom and Bosch, and over 100 overseas investment companies from Japan, Canada, Australia, the United States and Hong Kong.

The Economics and Trade Department of Sao Paulo in Brazil brought in a batch of cooperative projects concerning energy, travel, modern agriculture, etc. Russia's Moscow Trade and Industry Delegation also attracted many project promoters.

China's Henan, Shaanxi and Jilin provinces came up with valuable projects in special promotional project conferences. Baishan city of Northeast China's Jilin Province brought in 90 investment projects covering energy, mining, metallurgy, medicine, forestry, auto parts, etc. The South Shaanxi delegation contributed 22 key projects with a total investment of 3 billion yuan (US$362.2 million).
