The eight sufferers of mustard gas suspected of being left over by Japanese troops in Qiqihar, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, were discharged from hospital Tuesday night.

A cylinder used to contain mustard gas suspected of being left over by Japanese intruding troops during World War II was reported found Monday evening. Eight workers who dug out the cylinder Monday afternoon were immediately hospitalized.

After 24 hours of clinical observation, doctors said they had not seen any obvious symptoms of the workers being poisoned and agreed they went home at 9:00 p.m.
