IOC, GE sign cooperation agreement

US General Electric (GE) Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt (C), Yuan Weimin (R), head of State General Sports Administration, and Hein Verbruggen, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission, shake hands at the agreement signing ceremony for GE turning a global Olympic cooperation partner IOC in Beijing on May 26. GE, one of the 11 global sponsors selected by IOC, will be IOC's partner since Jan. 1, 2005 for eight years.
